Gunny's Off-Season 8 is a small-group development squad for young footballers heading into the U13–U15 age groups who want to become stronger, more athletic, more confident and better prepared for footy. There's a strong Rugby League flavour, particularly around contact and the physical demands of the game, while the program is also suited to young Rugby Union and AFL players. This isn't about running through team structures and set plays. It's about developing the athlete underneath the footballer. Across eight weeks we'll work on movement, strength, contact, play and competition — using both the fully equipped 4017 Fitness gym and the field. Each athlete will also receive their own rebounder ball to keep, play with and use outside of the squad — because development shouldn't stop when the session finishes. Why only 8? Because I want to coach the young man, not just run the session. Eight athletes means plenty of involvement, individual feedback and opportunities to compete. It also gives me the chance to understand each athlete — where they're confident, where they need some help and when they're ready to be challenged. My approach is pretty simple and probably a little old school. Run. Jump. Wrestle. Throw. Catch. Compete. Make mistakes. Figure things out. And play. Young footballers don't need every minute of their off-season structured for them. They need good coaching, good challenges and an environment where they can have a crack. We're not trying to create professional footballers at 13. We're developing strong, capable and confident young men who enjoy their footy and are ready for what's next.
Clinic
This clinic is designed for netballers aged 9-14 looking to sharpen their attacking skills, build confidence and prepare for upcoming team gradings and representative trials. Suitable for club, representative and aspiring representative players, the session will focus on the skills and game awareness athletes need to perform confidently and make an impact on court. Athletes will work on attacking skills, shooting technique, circle movement, timing and decision making, with a focus on applying these skills in game-like situations. Confidence at trials and making strong decisions under pressure will also be worked on. Throughout the clinic, athletes will receive individual feedback and practical coaching they can take into upcoming trials, training and games. Whether you're a GS, GA, WA or C, the session is designed to help you feel prepared, confident and ready to perform. Please bring: Netball, sunscreen, hat, drink bottle and appropriate training attire.
This weekly Basketball Development Squad is designed for players aged 13–16 who want to build their skills, confidence and understanding of the game through consistent training throughout Term 4. Each week, athletes will work across key areas of their game including shooting, ball handling, passing, finishing, footwork and decision-making. Sessions will combine skill development with competitive drills and game-based activities, giving players plenty of opportunities to put what they learn into practice. This Squad is designed as a Term 4 development program, with each week building on the last. Athletes are encouraged to train consistently throughout the term to get the most out of the program and their development. With more than a decade of experience in basketball skills coaching and individual player development, I will provide athletes with practical feedback on their game, helping them understand where they can improve and giving them skills and habits to continue working on outside of the Squad. The weekly format allows me to get to know each athlete and build on their development throughout the term. Whether you're looking to improve your fundamentals, grow your confidence or become a more complete basketballer, the Squad provides a consistent environment to keep developing alongside other motivated players. *For younger athletes, a separate 8–12 years session is also available

Our role as coaches is to instil that fundamental confidence in every athlete, providing them with the technical foundation and mental resilience to thrive, both on the board and beyond. No one has a coach every time they skate, so we aim to provide the tools for skateboarders to ‘self learn’ and be able to progress and think creatively on their own. By providing the tools for progression, we can leave and the skateboarder can skate with purpose long after we finish. This squad is suitable for athletes beginners - Up to 12 years.
