Australian Dolphin #P283, I am a Paralympian and have represented Australia on numerous occasions. A current World Record Holder and multiple international-level medalist, I am driven every day to stand on the podium in Tokyo (2021). I was born with a degenerative eye condition - retinitis pigmentosa - and wish to encourage others to realize their potential despite setbacks.
With 17 years swimming experience, I am learning more about myself and my swimming the more I progress. Growing up in Tasmania, there were times where I would coach myself and train alone. I experienced plateau at a young age when my future looked bright. As a kid with a passion, I was never going to let the challenging moments (in my case, years) stop me from chasing my dream - to represent Australia. At the age of 18 I committed to Para sport. Classification came first, and immediately I made my first senior Australian Team. Years later, I am learning more and more the importance of skill and daily consistency. Goals do not achieve themselves, and with self-discipline and determination the sky is the limit. A graduate of Bachelor of Sport & Exercise Science, I recently also completed a Certificate III & IV in Fitness. As I have experienced a rollercoaster ride to achieve my dream and to continually push the limits, I want to help others do the same. Whether an individual doesn't have the knowledge to pursue their goals, whether they need inspiration, or whether they need a bit of advice, my plan is to impact, educate and inspire as many people as I can!
