Extensive knowledge of the game of Rugby League developed over 15+ years playing professionally. I am passionate about offering insight into more complex aspects of the game, skill development and athletic performance. Mentoring the players on the nuances of the professional game.
Beginning my professional career with the Bulldogs back in 2000 I played over 300 games combined in both the NRL and the English Super League. Highlights included winning the Clive Churchill Medal in the 2004 Premiership, NSW State of Origin and Australian Honours. I also played Rugby Union with 3 tests for the Barbarians a year playing with Toulon. Life after football I am still involved with the game with the Legends of League, contributing in the media and mentoring emerging talent. I have an immense network of connections with professional athletes and coaches in both Rugby League and Rugby Union. I use game based scenarios through my coaching as it allows a greater understanding of the game, tactics and aspects that a professional player needs to be successful. I get the most joy out of seeing athletes that I have worked with use these skills to move up the grades and seek representative honours. My mentoring is much more than basic skills and drills and am looking forward to working with athletes that are willing to learn and have a strong work ethic. The mentoring side of my coaching is a core element and I am more than happy to adapt sessions to just talk tactics, whether you're a player or a coach, and help pass on the extensive knowledge I have about the intricacies of the game.
