I am a former professional ballerina with a dance career spanning over 15 years. I specialise in ballet technique coaching, stagecraft and performance and stretch and strength coaching. In addition, I support athletes and individuals to grow, develop, thrive and enhance their wellbeing through goal setting, mindset, strengths and values.
My professional dance career saw me perform nationally and internationally at the highest levels. Some of my performance career highlights include: Cinderella in Ben Stevenson’s Cinderella, Swanhilda in Greg Horsman’s Coppelia, The Sugar Plum Fairy in Ben Stevenson’s Nutcracker, Kitri in Francois Klaus’s Don Quixote, the Lead Harlot in Sir Kenneth MacMillan’s Romeo and Juliet and Edith (Gamzatti) in Greg Horsman’s La Baydere. I received my early ballet training from Allegonda Deppe in Bunbury, Western Australia and went on to complete my Advanced Diploma of Arts (Classical Dance) through the National Theatre Ballet School in Melbourne. I then spent a year performing at Tokyo Disney in Japan before accepting contract with the Australian Ballet’s “Out There in Schools Program”, designing and delivering dance workshops to schools in regional Victoria and New South Wales. I joined Queensland Ballet Company in August of 2008 and in 2012 was nominated “Dancer to watch” in the Australian Dance Critics Survey for performances in both Swan Lake and The Nutcracker. In 2015 I was promoted to Demi Soloist and became Soloist in 2017. During my time at Queensland Ballet I had the pleasure of choreographing four short works for Queensland Ballets Soiree and Dance Dialogues seasons. I was also a founding member of the QB Junior Friend’s program, which gave me the ability to mentor and teach the future stars of the stage. I not only passionate about sharing my knowledge and experience of ballet technique and performance, but mentoring young dancers with a focus on their wellbeing and helping the next generation of stars to develop the skills and knowledge they need to achieve their goals.
