As a former NRL player, I had the privilege of representing both my state (QLD in the State of Origin) and country (Australia) at the highest level. I am looking forward to giving back to the NRL community with the knowledge that I have, ready to share my experience with the next generation of athletes.
I grew up in Peak Hill, a small town in the Central West of New South Wales. My family and I moved around a lot; journeying to Victoria, Cootamundra and La-Perouse before eventually settling in Cherbourg, Queensland. In 2001, I made the move back to Sydney when I signed with the Parramatta Eels, making my NRL debut in 2002. I then joined the Canterbury Bulldogs in 2004 and won the NRL Premiership in the same year. I continued to play for the Bulldogs until 2009 when I was signed by the North Queensland Cowboys. 2012 saw my path lead me back to Parramatta where I remained until my retirement from the NRL in 2014. After a 13-year career in the NRL I had accomplished more than I could have dreamt of.. i had been a part of a multiple series winning State of Origin team, won a premiership and was awarded the 2004 Dally M Centre of the year – and all of this was accomplished in a career of over 180 first grade games. In 2015, I relocated to France to play for the Catalans Dragons and finished my professional playing career with the Leigh Centurions across the 2016 and 2017 seasons. I have now retired from the game that has given me so much and made me who I am today. I am eager to share my knowledge to help young rugby league players gain confidence in their own ability and teach them new skills to help them achieve both their professional and personal goals.
