Coaching Bio

I am still only just starting my career in the senior swimming world, however, have already enjoyed a number of successes in the pool. I have broken 2 junior world records in the 50m and 100m backstroke events and have achieved a number of senior world championship medals. I have competed all over the world and am excited to pass on my experiences to the next generation of swimmers and anybody who is keen to give this amazing sport a try.

I got my start in swimming after my primary school PE teacher thought I should give it a try. It took a few years but, in 2011, I began my swimming journey at just 10 years of age. By 2015, I was competing in the FINA World Junior Swimming Championships in Singapore where I broke my first record for the 200m backstroke and tied the record for the 100m backstroke. Later that year, I broke the 100m record and within 2 months of that I had the 50m record as well. Since then, I have debuted for the senior swimming team and competed in the Commonwealth Games and World Championships among other events. I am passionate about swimming and training to become the best swimmer I possibly can. I am excited to coach likeminded athletes who are willing to put the work in to get the results. I love teaching little hints and tricks that can help people master skills they never thought possible. I am inspired by helping people achieve their sporting dreams and working on specific goals. There is nothing more rewarding than watching as an athlete improves from session to session. Competing Achievements 2015 – FINA World Junior Championships – gold for 100m and 200m backstroke, tied the junior world record for 100m and broke the 200m record Dec 2015 – QLD State Swimming Championships – broke the junior world record for 100m backstroke Feb 2016 – Brisbane Sprint Championships – broke the 50m backstroke record 2016 – Debuted in senior team at the World Short Course in Windsor, Canada 2018 – Commonwealth Games Team – backstroke finalist 2018 – Competed at World Short Course in China – won 3 x Bronze for Women’s 100m Backstroke, 4 x 50m Freestyle Relay and 4 x 200m Freestyle Relay 2019 – Competed in World Championships in South Korea – won gold in mixed 4 x 100m medley relay, silver in women’s 100m Backstroke and silver in Women’s 4 x 100m Medley Relay

My daughter had a fabulous session this morning with Minna. She loved all the tips she got and couldn't wait to go to training to start perfecting her stroke. My daughter loved how Minna related to her and her swimming style which was a wonderful confident boost for my girl knowing she is on the right track. Minna was great and we hope to book her again soon!
